Research Into Magazine Advertisements

To help me gain some understanding on what content needs to be included on a magazine advertisement, I thought I'd have a look on the internet to see if Mayday Parade had any existing music advertisements. After searching Google I came across this advertisement which has given me inspiration.....

Conclusion:

Overall, I like the idea of how the poster is kept plain and simple, so that the audiences eye isn't distracted by anything on the page and get the information they want and need effectively. I will try and ensure that when making my advertisement to keep to the convention of their simple design and plain but bold font to stand out and capture the audience's eye.
